Well last week I was all excited for an early spring ?and the fact that I have flowers popping through the surface?all across my gardens. This week is pretty much the exact opposite from last because we got hit with a snow storm yesterday - pure insanity! Wisconsin weather just can't make up its mind this year but I was excited to see that the snow hadn't caused much damage - and my flowers are still alive! The managed to survive the snow and I thought sharing some photos today would be appropriate.
I have no idea how these even got there. They're Pansies and while I had a few pots filled with them last year, Pansies are an annual flower. I find it hard to imagine that a seed blew over, planted itself and survived the brutal cold winter. But it is what it is and nature has a mind of its own!
My back garden is just full of Crocus and the snow may have scared them off a bit since the petals are all closed, but they're still bright, vibrant and full of life. They're just gorgeous and I'm excited that this year's clusters are bigger than last year's!
