I remember thumbing through my encyclopedias when I was a kid long before I could sit and read them by myself. I loved that it was full of so much information I could learn. My 6 year old is the same way and can spend hours looking through books without reading a single word. Her ultimate book love really falls to non-fiction and especially books about animals. She is constantly telling me information about animals that I didn’t even know! I am super excited to share with you information about the exclusive, non-fiction children’s publishing partnership between Animal Planet and Time Inc. Books, ANIMALS: A Visual Encyclopedia. This book connects kids to the diverse animal species that share our world with a collection of gorgeous animal photography, fascinating and informative animal facts, and dynamic graphics.
The animal world is a popular and ever-green topic for kids. I feel it is so important to educate the next generation about the creatures who share our planet. This book is divided into eight comprehensive chapters as the ultimate global reference guide. It is a visual tour of the animal kingdom with detailed profiles of the seven major animal classes: mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, amphibians, arthropods and other invertebrates.

This book is HUGE and thus very heavy but that is because it is full of so much information. This book has truly stunning photographs. I can’t praise the pictures enough because even my 3 year old will happily turn the pages as she looks at the photographs. My 6 year old and I enjoy looking through it while she points out all the animals and I read the interesting facts to her. Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia is an awesome book for all ages and especially great for animal lovers.
