Wisconsin is in a world of its own when it comes to spring and planting season. Things just spring to life much later than other parts of the nation and frankly, I'm a bit impatient. I had Crocus in bloom for a few days; until it rained and there went all of the pretty petals. Daffodils are in bloom as I type this, but not completely. I've got a few Hyacinth peaking through, but really that's about it.
So... I went with a different approach this year so that I could get a little color in the front yard annuals in pots! You see, we got the new porch in, railing and steps done in the front of the house. Hubby tilled in front of it for bushes and lined it with field stone. It looks amazing but I needed something to make it pop and decided planters along the steps would do for now.
The planters are filled with Violas for the most part and there's a couple others that I forget the names of. I used pots that I already had and grabbed a few more from Dollar Tree gotta love the deals at that store!
I hope that you enjoyed this week's dose of Flower Friday. Enjoy your weekend!
