In the spirit of The Game Plan and The Pacifier comes a funny ?fish out of water comedy? perfect for the entire family. Hilarious and wholesome, Tooth Fairy arrives on Blu-ray Disc/DVD Triple Play and DVD May 4 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Dwayne Johnson (The Game Plan) stars as Derek Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his ability to knock out other players? teeth. After discouraging a youngster’s hopes, he is ordered to one week’s hard labor as the real Tooth Fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand. At first he cant handle the tooth,? but eventually learns how to adapt to his new position and finds himself rediscovering his own forgotten dreams. From Emmy award-winning director Michael Lembeck (Friends), the whimsical adventure features a stellar supporting cast including Academy Award winner Julie Andrews (Enchanted), Ashley Judd (Crossing Over, Helen), Stephan Merchant (?The Office?), and professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler.
I love The Rock, HUGE fan! When I saw previews for Tooth Fairy and saw that he would be in it, I knew it would be great. Somehow he just has a way to make everything so intense, whether it be funny, sad or angry. I watched it, and I wasn’t disappointed on bit!
Tooth Fairy was an awesome movie. It was full of laughs, some so funny it almost hurt. I just got a kick out of the very first time he ended up in a pink tutu. It was absolutely hilarious! I absolutely loved his Case Worker too, the poor guy couldn’t get real fairy wings. His goofy personality was the best, he cracked me up every time!
I don’t want to ruin anything for you, so I won’t tell too much. The invisibility on ice part was one of my absolute favorite scenes and another is when he walked in on the dad and made him fork over the tooth.
Our whole family enjoyed watching Tooth Fairy and it’s definitely a must see for everyone! It’ll have you laughing your “tutus’ off! I would absolutely recommend Tooth Fairy to everyone, even those of you without kids, because it’s really not just for them!
