All you need to put together these fun treats are some cupcakes, frosting, a bit of coconut, a few drops of food coloring and some Peeps Chicks. There are no special frosting skills needed, so this is a great project for practically anyone. Just whip up a couple dozen cupcakes, using your favorite recipe, and you will be all set to get started.
How to make Easter nest cupcakes with Peeps
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 2 dozen white cupcakes, unfrosted
- 1 can vanilla frosting
- 1 cup coconut
- green food coloring
- 24 Peeps Chicks
- Small zippered bag
Directions:
Step 1. Put 3-5 drops of green food coloring into the frosting, stir well until all of the frosting is green.
Step 2. Put the coconut into the zippered bag.
Step 3. Add 3-5 drops of green food coloring to the coconut in the bag.
Step 4. Shake well, until all of the coconut is coated and is green.
Step 5. Frost the cupcakes.
Step 6. Place a Peeps Chicks in the center of frosted cupcake.
Step 7. Sprinkle green coconut on the top of the cupcake, around the Peeps Chicks.
