I have been a fan of Penguin Random House Publishers for quite some time. Highlights launched a new initiative last year that goes beyond its “fun with a purpose” to help kids develop specific skills for school through puzzles, activities and games. The new line, Highlights Learning, is headlined by a series of “Big Fun Workbooks” that introduce, reinforce and strengthen skills in reading, writing and early math for kids in Pre-K, Kindergarten and first grades. But this October, the progressive framework developed in collaboration with teachers is expanding up a grade with the release of Highlights’ Big Fun Second Grade Workbook! Unfortunately, I have a kindergartner this year and wanted a copy of their Highlights’ Big Fun Kindergarten Workbook
THE BIG FUN KINDERGARTEN WORKBOOK
Hooray for kindergarten! This award-winning workbook reinforces what kids are learning in the classroom with a fresh approach to developing skills for school success.
With over 250 pages of fun puzzle-based activities including Highlights™ Hidden Pictures®, kindergarteners will practice a variety of skills in subjects like reading and math through exercises that will boost their confidence and supplement what they’re already learning in school. The book also has an introduction with simple tips for parents, a Certificate of Achievement, and online activities. Developed with educational experts, teacher-approved, and aligned with state standards, this workbook will engage kindergarteners and get them excited about learning!

Highlights(TM) Learn on the Go Practice Pads are perfect for engaging kids ages 3-6 in activity-based learning by blending skill practice with fun puzzles. That’s Silly!(TM) and Hidden Pictures® puzzles are among the activities that will engage and entertain kids and build their confidence as they practice essential learning skills. Highlights Learn on the Go Practice Pads are perfect for on-the-go families, or if you just need something to keep your child busy during church. I’m one of those parents that encourage learning all the time. My children have workbooks and pads like these for days that they don’t have any homework to work in to build their learning skills.
