This DIY Facial Scrub is just what every man needs for Father’s Day! My husband works out in the weather and it takes a toll on his skin. Good thing he has a baby face or it might look like he robbed the cradle. He’s gotten to the age where his age is starting to show. What better way to sooth your skin than a DIY Sandlewood Facial Scrub!

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of Baking Soda
- 4 ounce air tight container
- 1 tablespoon of Coconut Oil
- 4 drops of Sandlewood Essential Oil
Step 1: Mix all your ingredients in the container. If you use the solid form of Coconut Oil you will have to melt it for 10 seconds in the microwave to soften it to be able to mix it properly. However, if you buy the liquid form of Coconut Oil then you just add it to your ingredients and mix.
The sweet, woody aroma of Sandalwood is a reflection of the soothing benefits of the essential oil which can be used for skin imperfections or to enhance mood during meditation.
Step 2: When you finish mixing it should be the consistency of peanut butter if you were to scoop it out with your hands.
Step 3: Make sure you seal it tight so that air cannot get in. This recipe also works well for women, but I would use Lavender for my essential oil.
The mixture is oily at first, but then it absorbs into your skin after you have rinsed it off. After a few applications you husband will be thanking you for thinking of his skin. You can purchase your Fractured Coconut Oil and Sandlewood Essential Oil here! My father is no longer with us, but I’m sure he would be ecstatic to receive this handmade gift from me. He was quite the perfectionist, and always very conscious of his looks.
What will you be doing for Father’s Day?
