What mother doesn’t need a day of relaxation? As a mother we spend so much of our time taking care of others that often times we forget to make time for ourselves. Make sure you take time for yourself this Mother’s Day not only to relax, but to be a healthier mom for your children. By taking time off you are able to rejuvenate and recuperate so that you can continue to take care of those you love. I love making recipes using my essential oils. They have helped me get back to a healthy state. I use essential oils in my bath to help me relax and unwind from a busy day or week. Lavender is used for so many different things that I always have it on hand to use. This is a simple recipe to say thank you to your mom this Mother’s Day! Most of the ingredients you probably already have on hand, and is so simple anyone can make their own DIY Lavender Bath Salts.
~1 cup Himalayan salt
~1 cup Epsom salt
~1/2 cup course Kosher salt
~10-20 drops lavender essential oil
Step 1: First you will add all your dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2: Now add 10-20 drops of doTERRA’s Lavender Essential Oil to the same bowl and mix. Lavender is often considered a must-have oil to keep on hand at all times due to its versatile uses, including calming and relaxing properties that promote peaceful sleep and ease feelings of tension.
Step 3: Last divide the contents into sealable jars and finish them off however you want. I have chosen to put all my homemade items into a gift basket for my mom.
