Instead, I choose some things that need to be changed in my life. I find that it’s easier to stick to the plan this way and I don’t end up utterly failing at those impossible resolutions by mid-January. This year, one of my focuses is on family; spending more time together and making fun memories.
Making more time for family fun
It’s important to make time for family and I’ve realized this to the extreme since I had to come to terms with the fact that Big Bro turned 18. It’s an amazing milestone for him. For me, not so much. I feel like I am going to lose him any day and it hurts just thinking about it. So I’ve decided that we’re going to maker every moment count from now on! Here are some ways that we’re making more time for family fun.
- Not stressing about the little things – Who cares if the dishes are done or laundry is put away. Sometimes the cleaning can wait while we curl up to a movie.
- Putting away the work – This is a tough one because I am a workaholic who happens to work from home. If I’m not on my computer, my phone is in hand. My family has been complaining so I try to “unplug” as much as I can so that we can hang out together.
- Making dinner time easy – Dinner can take such a long time so we’ve been going the easy route some nights.
On-Cor has been a big help with that last one lately. I can pop one of their hearty entrées into the oven and sit down to play a quick game with the family. Or, since clean up is a breeze after a meal that requires minimal effort, we can make some popcorn and cuddle on the couches for a movie right after dinner is done.
On-Cor offers convenient, yet quality dinner solutions that are perfect for “one of those nights”, where life is a bit hectic and the to-do list is a mile long. With more than 70 years on the market, the On-Cor brand has recently enhanced their products to satisfy the needs of moms who are looking for convenient, quality dinner solutions for their families. Consumers are able to understand exactly what they are feeding their families thanks to On-Cor’s new packaging.
With popular flavors and varieties to choose from, these frozen, fully-cooked meals are conveniently packaged and ready to heat and serve. They’re perfect for busy families like mine and allow us to spend more time together and less time cooking. The Gravy & 6 Salisbury Steaks is one of my family’s favorites and it has 20 percent more meat, which my growing boys appreciate. All entrées have no monosodium glutamate (MSG) added, so I can feel good about serving them to my family. For your next family meal, head to the freezer aisle of Walmart or check out the store locator at www.on-cor.com to pick up one of On-Cor’s entrées.
