Alright guys, this is going to get really personal. I am baring everything that I don’t like in myself during this mission to lose weight, so please be kind.
This is me today.
That picture disgusts me. I look at that girl in the mirror and sometimes I don’t know who she is. I’ve never understood how I went from a tiny girl of 110 pounds to this. I don’t even know how much I weigh because I refuse to step on a scale. Something needs to change and the only way that’s going to happen is if I make a change, if I actually have a mission to lose weight.
I need to change the way I eat and how active I am. Sitting at a desk all day definitely doesn’t help because I am completely inactive and I forget to eat until I’m literally so hungry that my stomach starts to ache. Then I grab the quickest thing that I can, which is usually the most unhealthy food I could choose. But that’s all going to change because I’m doing the Medifast Go™ plan for the next 3 months. Yep, you heard that right. 3 months. It’s a huge commitment but I have to do it. I feel that if I don’t do something drastic, I’ll never do anything at all.
Medifast has been around since 1980 and has been recommended by over 20,000 doctors, so that sets my mind at ease; knowing that In am starting this huge journey with such a trusted company. I have everything that I need to kick my first month into gear including meals, a food journal, Medifast Go™ plan guide, dining out guide and a blender bottle.
Through the Medifast Go™ program, I will eat 6 times a day, every 2-3 hours. Since my routine before this was eating one or two times a day, I think that might be the most challenging aspect of the plan for me. But, I have set alarms for reminders to eat so I’m hopeful that will help.
Now, one of my biggest problems is that I’m a snacker, but with Medifast Go™, I can still enjoy snacks like their tasty Caramel Crunch Bar and the best part is that it counts as one of my daily meals!
Since I’ve just started the program this week, I have only had a chance to try a handful of the food but I will be sharing my journey through this mission to lose weight roughly every 2 weeks and I’ll be sure to let you know what I really think next time.
