The newest book in the Kobee Manatee picture book series is Kobee Manatee Shipwreck Sea Friends. Written in collaboration with world-renowned oceanographic explorer and documentary film maker, Fabien Cousteau, eldest grandson of legendary ocean pioneer, Jacques Cousteau! The adventures of Kobee Manatee continue as he and his pals explore the S.S. Antonio López shipwreck off the coast of Puerto Rico.
Kobee Manatee and his pals, Tess the seahorse and Pablo the hermit crab are en route to Puerto Rico to explore the SS Antonio López, a historic shipwreck from the 1898 Spanish-American War. The ship sits underwater about seven miles west of San Juan. On their Caribbean adventure, they meet several new sea friends, including a whale shark, an octopus, and a moray eel. But as Kobee and his buddies begin their thrilling exploration of the wreck, Kobee gets trapped inside the sunken ship! Can Tess, Pablo, and the new sea friends rescue Kobee? Children are sure to enjoy this spectacular tale loaded with surprises, fun, and exciting facts all about Caribbean reef fish. ~Fabien Cousteau, aquanaut, conservationist, documentary filmmaker
This book is not only full of a fun adventure with an animal I love, a manatee, but it is also full of fun facts about fish, sea-life and other things that kids will find super interesting. Both my 5 and 8 year old daughters love Kobee. My 5 year old loves the story more where my 8 year old loves learning all the cool facts about fish which makes it a great book we can all ready together. We are Floridians so we have a special place in our heart for the oceans and animals near us. This is another fabulous adventure story with Kobee! Make sure to check out the Kobee Manatee website where you can sign up to get free coloring sheets and puzzles as well as learn more about all his books!
