It’s a new year and many people have decided to take their health more seriously so I’m sharing all about how you can get free self-service health screenings.?This post is’sponsored by Sam’s Club but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Taking care of and monitoring your health is very important for your overall well-being. Routine health check-ups are necessary as a?proactive measure in your healthcare but it’s not always as easy as one might assume to have a health check done. Time is a factor for many people as we lead busy lives and don’t have an hour or so to sit waiting in the Doctor’s office. There are also many people, just like myself, who are uninsured so the cost of a health screening needs to come out of pocket; which isn’t feasible for everyone.
But I’ve got good new to share because now you can get free self-service health screenings done right at Sam’s Club! 622 Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy now have self-service health screening stations set up right in-store thanks to their partnership with higi, a health technology company.
These health screening stations allow you to access your blood pressure, pulse, weight, and body mass index (BMI); and also to track your health information over time. You can share this information with your health care provider through higi’s online platform which can grab data from over 80 health devices, activity trackers and apps.
You might already know about Sam’s Club’s ?monthly “Healthy at Heart” Health screenings and these new self-service ?health screening stations are actually in addition to the monthly screenings that are already offered at select Sam’s Club locations across the country.
“Healthy at Heart” screening
Sam’s Club is offering a “Healthy at Heart” screening this Saturday, February 11 from 11am to 4pm and the timing couldn’t be perfect for Sam’s Club to roll out these higi self-service stations at their stores. The following tests will be available: Total cholesterol, HDL (good cholesterol), Blood pressure, Body Fat Percentage and Glucose while Vision and Hearing tests will be available at select locations. Check here to find a Sam’s Club location near you.
As your planning your steps to a “better you” in 2017, I highly encourage you to take advantage of this event and the free health screenings at Sam’s Club stores. Remember, it’s always best to be proactive rather than have to react after the fact!
