Growing up, I was pretty clumsy. Well who am I kiding? I still am pretty clumsy.
By the time I was 16, I had injured myself quite a few times, including 3 separate injuries to my knees. I fractured each of my knees twice, having to wear a full leg brace and use crutches for 6-8 weeks both times. The last knee injury resulted in a fracture and a chipped bone. That one was a doozy and took a bit longer to heal.
As you can imagine, I suffer knee pain to this very day due to those old injuries. It seems to get worse as I age and I do often worry about it. I am part of an active family?that enjoys doing things outdoors such as camping, hiking, swimming and boating. I fear that one day I won’t be able to do those things with them anymore. Worse yet, my joint pain will be so bad that I’ll end up being one of those moms that sit on the sidelines while her family enjoys life.
Don’t Let Joint Pain Stop You from Living Life
I couldn’t imagine a life like that so I’m going to “Hit Play” on my life instead of spending it on the sidelines. There are treatment options for joint pain and I need to start looking into them today, before it’s too late and I can no longer participate in fun activities with my family. I wouldn’t want the scenario in this video below to become my reality.
I refuse to give up and stop living due to pain. Instead, I’m going to seek help and hopefully rid myself of the pain so that I can enjoy life with my kids. And one day, when I have grand kids,?hopefully I’ll be able to chase them around the yard and have fun with them.
