Cereal is a wonderful thing. It’s delicious and makes a super quick breakfast meal. When I was pregnant with Big Bro, cereal was pretty much the only thing that I could keep down. But did you know that cereal can be more than just a breakfast food with milk in a bowl? Well it surely can and today, I’ve partnered with Nature’s Path to share some cereal hacks with you.
I’m trying to get into healthier eating habits so I’ve been opting for these tasty Superflakes from Nature’s Path. They’re called Qi’a Superflakes and are available in 3 flavors – Cocoa Coconut, Honey Chia and Coconut Chia. I’m all about the honey, so today’s cereal hacks are using the Honey Chia Qi’a Superflakes.
Top it with fruit.
Everything is better with fruit and that goes for cereal too! Try adding slices bananas, strawberries and even raspberries and blueberries – yum!
Replace breadcrumbs with Qi’a Superflakes.
Next time you’re making a casserole, meatballs and even meatloaf, ditch the breadcrumbs and use crushed Qi’a Superflakes instead.
Crunchy coating for meat.
Crush some Qi’a Superflakes and add a little bit of egg, then coat your chicken, pork chops, fish and shrimp in it.
Better for you mozzarella sticks
We all love that gooey, cheesy goodness but they can be so bad for you! Rather than regular batter, use crushed Qi’a Superflakes and bake them instead of frying – delicious and less calories!
Just crush them up, add a little bit of sugar and butter, pat it all down in a pie pan and you’ve got a tasty crust for your pie.
Fried ice cream
Yum! I think this is my favorite of the cereal hacks and you’ll love it!
Nature’s Path Qi’a Superflakes are a better option for me because it provides long lasting energy from the superfood and sprouted grain flake cereal. I feel better making food choices that are loaded in protein, whole grains and fiber, while being low in sugar. I definitely appreciate that Nature’s Path Qi’a Superflakes are gluten-free, Non-GMO and certified organic.
