Asthma is more common than you might think. In fact, 14% of US kids have been told they have asthma, which amounts to roughly 6.8 million children and teens. That number is frightening and it’s sad to know that so many of our children have to suffer! When I was growing up, I only knew one person with asthma and I remember her needing to use an inhaler every time we’d run the track in gym class.
