Don?t you love it when your child decides at the last minute that they want to attend an event you hadn’t planned on attending? I love doing for others, but sometimes financially I am unable. The baby shower was at eleven that morning and she told me at nine she wanted to go. I had planned on sewing her an Infant Taggie Blanket, but hadn’t had the time to sew it. If you have sewing supplies you probably have everything you need to sew one.
Supplies:
- Dish towel
- Fabric
- Ribbon
- Pins
- Thread
This was super easy to sew. First you need to gather all your supplies. Once you have chosen your coordinating fabrics, and ribbon you will need to cut your ribbon 4″ in length.
Next you will need to cut your fabric to fit your dish towel. Yes, I did use a dish towel. You know the ones that feel so soft, but will not dry your dishes or hands. Yes, that is the one I used for this project.
Then lay out your tags in the pattern you plan to use and pin. I looped them and pinned them to the outside of the blanket, and pinned the wrong side of the dish towel as well.
Finally, I sewed on the soft side of the fabric, and only left myself about an inch to pull the fabric right side out. Once all the fabric was pulled out I hand stitched the opening. Really anyone can make it. By the way she loved her gift, and knew instantly that it was handmade.
