Valentine’s Day is coming up and it’s one of my favorite times of year. It’s the season of love and I like to celebrate this special day with my family and friends. I pass out candy, give special treats and even make stuff for the kids. Now that they’re older, I don’t get to make their special classroom Valentines anymore, but I just know these Valentine’s Favor Boxes would be a hit – and the nice part is they’re not just for kids! You can load these up with conversation hearts or any type of candy as a little treat for absolutely anyone. They make nice little neighbor gifts too, which is what I’m doing with mine!
These Valentine’s Favor Boxes are super easy to make and you can almost everything you’ll need right from Stampin’ Up! You’ll need the following supplies:
- Tiny Treat Boxes
- Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack
- Brights 8-1/2″ X 11″ Card Stock
- Neutrals 8-1/2″ X 11″ Card Stock
- You Plus Me Stamp Set
- Stacked with Love Designer Washi Tape
- Craft Glue Stick
- Paper Trimmer
- Ribbon
I made quite a few different designs, but the basics are all the same and you can either go with my designs or get creative with your own. The sky is the limit here! You’ll be decorating the front and sides of the boxes. I left them flat as I was decorating, then folded after each was finished.
Decide which design you’ll do and cut your patterned and plain paper. Apply stamps to your cut paper using whichever stamps you like.
Next you’ll either apply the washi tape or secure your paper in place
with craft glue. You’ll repeat these steps as needed until your design is complete. Once your boxes are finished, assembled and filled, tie each off with a 12 inch piece of coordinating ribbon.
It really is as simple as that and in no time at all, you’ll have beautiful little handmade favor boxes to fill with your favorite treats. Stay tuned in the next week because I’ve got more quick and easy Valentines projects to share with you!
