Sometimes getting kids to read can be frustrating as they tend to find other activities as “more fun.” That is why it is so important to read to your kids every single day and the trick is to find books that your children find interesting. As a librarian I am here to say that reading is just as crucial as it has ever been!
SONIC is now giving kids and parents a chance for a quality reading session over some classic drive-in food. Starting Now through Feb. 17,
SONIC’s beloved Wacky Pack kids? meals will include one of four
limited-edition Scholastic books ? what better way to sneak in fun
reading time than at the drive-in?
Education is an important focus for the SONIC brand — after the fifth year of its successful Limeades for Learning program, SONIC has donated over $3,540,314 to fund 5,735 classroom projects in partnership with DonorsChoose.org. That means 5,735 more classrooms have the supplies they need to make learning effective and interactive ? SONIC is proud to have helped and is excited to continue to support education for children.
We headed over to our local Sonic for some dinner and of course the Scholastic Books in the Wacky Pack Kids’ Meal.
Not only was dinner tasty but the girls loved their little books. At 2 and 5 years old I have taught them a love of books that I hope carries on through their teen years and beyond.
Each book comes with a downloadable copy too. I just love seeing this partnership between Scholastic and SONIC. Most kids love a fun eating out experience and it only gets better when you get an awesome book to go along with it.
