?Spring is in the air! Well “almost” in the air. It’s still snowing here in Ohio, but maybe these little beauties will help it warm up faster! Aren’t they adorable??These butterflies eludes “spring!” This?is a simple craft your kiddos canparticipatein, along with your supervision.??My daughter is still a little too young to help, but boy did I have fun putting these together! Her room is decorated in birds, flowers and bugs. I thought these would be so cute on her walls or hanging from the ceiling! There are endless?possibilities with these!
?
Just follow these few steps:
?The supplies are simple:
Tissue Paper(2 different colors)
Pipe cleaner
Scissors
String(optional)
String(optional)
Velcro or double sided type(optional)
Step 1:
Cut your two different color tissue papers in a 5 inch square.
Then lay them on top of each other and fold them back and forth like a fan.
Still with me?
Step 2:
Ok, now set the paper aside.
Take your pipe cleaner.
Fold it in half, should look like a V.
1 inch from the bottom twist 2 times.
Step 3:
Place your paper on top of the pipe cleaner(the part that you twisted)
Now pull the pipe cleaner up and through and bring back down.
Got it??
If not hope the picture helps:)?
?
Step 4:
Now it’s time to cut the wings.
Round off the edges.
Be gentle, remember its tissue paper.
Take your fingers and separate, and fan out the wings until your’satisfied.
Using a pencil or your finger wrap the?antenna’s around them to make a curve.

Now if you are interested in hanging them from your ceiling all you have to do is tie some string to one of the antenna’s, then tie the string to a hook that you screw into your ceiling. For the wall, all you have to get is double sided tape or velcro and stick them to your wall. That’s it, it’s so simple!
?
The great thing about this craft is these supplies are very?inexpensive, plus most of you probably already have them in your craft supply stash.?
?
I cannot express enough how fun and simple these butterflies are! Your children will have so much fun putting these together and so will you!
