What is the Great Cloth Diaper Change? The event is scheduled for April 20th, 2013 at 11 A.M., when babies across the globe will be changed into cloth diapers at the same time. The goal of the event is to not only break the world record, but to increase cloth diaper awareness, and raise money for the Real Diaper Association.

So far, 118 hosts are registered in 9 countries to host the Great Cloth Diaper Change 2013. The Guinness World Record for simultaneous cloth diaper changes was set last year, when participants changed 8,251 babies into cloth diapers at 189 locations in 11 countries.

You do not have to currently use cloth diapers to participate! Many of the hosts will have diapers available for you to borrow (check ahead of time to be sure) and some hosts have turned their event into a community gathering with lots of fun and family friendly activities.

I’ll be at the Great Cloth Diaper Change Shepherdstown, WV; hosted by Up On the Hill and Change-Diapers. There will be lots of great prizes and goodie bags, so if you are within driving distance, RSVP today!

The Great Cloth Diaper Change’s website is undergoing an overhaul, but you can view a list of GCDC hosts to find an event near you.

Will you be there?
