I have developed an unnatural love for crafting with coffee filters. They make so many easy, cute, and cheap crafts! One of my students sent in a huge box of coffee filters, so I have been having fun! My favorite so far is the coffee filter flower! It is really easy to make, and turns out so pretty!
Here is what you need:
- coffee filters
- watercolor dye (hope you made it yourself! See last week’s post!) or food coloring mix in water
- scissors
Have you ever made paper snowflakes? Well, these are pretty similar.
Step 1: fold the coffee filter in half.
Step 2: fold in half again.
Step 3: And then in half again to make a wedge.
Step 6: Lay flat to dry. See how the 2 colors turned out? So cute!
Step 7: Use your fingers to gather the center and twist together. You may have to experiment with how you gather the flower to make different shapes.
