Who doesn’t love cake? It’s a favorite treat for many and these Valentine’s Cake Balls are sure to please your special someone. They’re delicious and super easy to make!
Valentine’s Cake Balls
1 box of White Cake Mix
1 tub of Icing
1 box of Baking / Melting Chocolate
Red Food Coloring
Fisher Chef’s Naturals Sliced Almonds
1 tsp of Vanilla
Baking Sticks (Popsicle Sticks will work as well.)
— Add additional ingredients from the Cake Mix Box.
Make the Cake. Follow the directions on your Cake Mix Box, add the Vanilla, and bake the cake as normal. Once it is finished baking, set it out to cool.
Once the cake is completely cooled, break it up into a large bowl. Add 1/3 cup of icing and 1/3 cup (or a 1/2 if a large cake) of Fisher Chef’s Natural Sliced Almonds. Mix together until it forms a mold-able batter.
Make balls with the cake batter and place them on a plate.
Melt the Baking/Melting Chocolate (directions are generally on the box) in the microwave and add your Food Coloring to your desired coloring.
Dip the end of the Baking stick into the chocolate and then push them through the cake balls. Freeze for 15min.
Take the cake balls out and roll them in the Baking/Melting Chocolate and top them off with sprinkles. I generally put each in a bowl and then just turn them. You can set them in a small cup like I have or you can place them on a baking sheet with wax paper. Let them dry or harden.
Step Seven (is Heaven!):
