Homemade Garlic Bread is so easy to make. It’s so easy in fact that any time I serve an Italian dish, homemade garlic bread is on the side. Homemade just tastes so much better that I rarely will even buy the frozen stuff.
The ingredients are super simple too.
Ingredients:
- Loaf of fresh Italian or French Bread
- 1 Stick Butter {I use unsalted}
- Minced Garlic
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Directions:
Heat oven to broil
1. Place butter in microwave safe bowl, and put in microwave for about 15 seconds or so until it’s creamy but not melted. {If it melts, that’s ok. Just let it sit for about 10 minutes to harden back up a little bit.} Mix about 2-4 teaspoons Minced Garlic in depending on how much garlic flavor you want.
2. Slice the bread long way with bread knife. Spread garlic/butter mixture evenly.
3. Place right below broiler for about 1 minute watching carefully as it can burn quickly. Take out, top with desired amount of cheese. Pop back in oven to broil for about another minute. It’s done when the cheese is fully melted.
4. Slice and enjoy!
