Last week, I shared part of my family’s trip to Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells with you. I told you all about our guest room and Kalahari Resorts decorations/artwork. Now it’s time for the fun stuff. I’m going to share all of the fun that my family had playing in the waterparks at Kalahari!
Lil Man wasn’t feeling so hot when we took off for Kalahari. We debated keeping him home, but he had been looking forward to this trip so bad. The first day he chilled in the hot tub with dad for awhile, then went on a few slides until we went up to our guest suite to order dinner. Before dinner even arrived, he was out cold.
We went back down to the waterpark for about an hour so that Big Bro could play. He ran around Leopard’s Lair, went on some water slides and played in the wave pool.
“Net crawls, water guns, slides from 6-20 feet high with several levels of interactive water fun! All of this is surrounded by a 3,000 sq. ft. pool. The wonderful part is that the water depth goes from zero to just 12″ deep!”
The next day a few of us went into the waterpark while The Man and Lil Man rested in the car for a bit. My sister was in line for the FlowRider when they all came back in. Lil Man had finally got some food in his belly and was able to keep it down. The line was pretty long, so after about 10 minutes of sitting with us, he decided he was going to get in line. Of course Big Bro could not be outdone, so he soon followed! Here’s a short video of Big Bro and my sister having fun as well as all 3 of them trying out FlowRider!
It was so much fun watching them all on FlowRider. My sister’s bikini bottoms kept falling down so she had to pull them back up. So funny, but I assured her that I would edit those parts out of the video!
After the kids were all done, we headed to the outdoor waterpark and went on some slides. I was even able to get a shot of Lil Man finally having some fun!
Although our trip wasn’t as action packed as we would have liked, we were still able to have plenty of fun! I think Big Bro and my sister had the most fun out of us all since they were constantly on the run! Despite not feeling well, Lil Man did have a great time too! I promised him another trip sometime this winter and he’s super excited! In fact, we’re all looking forward to a fun winter trip!
One of the things that I like most about Kalahari is that you can have a ton of fun year round. The outdoor waterpark may be closed, but the indoor waterpark is popping! There’s also an arcade full of video games as well as an indoor theme park that we’re definitely checking out next time we visit!
For the adults, there’s even a restaurant & bar to help you unwind! I wasn’t able to check out Kahunaville this time, but did a few years ago. It was a lot of fun and we didn’t even have to leave the hotel!
“Enjoy fantastic food, fun and great times at Kahunaville Restaurant & Bar!
Kahunaville offers a tantalizing selection of delectable dining options you?ll find nowhere else. Along with great food, Kahunaville features a casual and fun atmosphere with a distinct tropical d?cor. Dancing servers, juggling bartenders and great music combine to create a unique and exciting experience everyone in the family will enjoy.”
Don’t forget that you can still visit Kalahari even if you’re not in the Wisconsin Dells area. There’s a Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio too!
