The kids are at Grandpa’s. They’ve been there since Friday evening. The man’s working, he’s been all weekend. AND, he took my brothers and dad with him. I have had nothing but peace and quiet and all me time!
I won’t lie.
I’ve loved
every. single. minute. of. it.
However, believe it or not, I have not spent all weekend relaxing and twiddling my thumbs. No sirree, I haven’t!
I have been a very busy girl. I’ve gotten a lot accomplished. Maybe not as much as I’d like to have accomplished, but face it there’s just not enough time in the day to get it all done.
I did some gardening.
This first picture is the front garden. I thought of doing some cool design, but then I thought better of it. I’m not your ordinary person, I’m pretty random. I thought this garden should reflect that. Once the flowers grow and spread a bit, I’m sure it will be a gorgeous array of bright and beautiful colors! I’ll post pictures in a few weeks just so you can see.
This is one of my gardens in the backyard. It’s still a work in progress. I’m waiting for him to bring me home some rocks from the farm to finish the edges around the pond. But once it’s done, it’s going to look amazing. It’s so relaxing to sit on the deck and listen to the water, very calming and soothing. The only flowers that are from last year are the 2 big Columbine in the first picture, the rose bush {which hasn’t bloomed yet} and the lily which hasn’t bloomed yet either. The rest are all new thanks to my dear dog that liked to run through my garden stepping on all of my flowers. I showed him though! I finally got smart and put a little fence at the edge of the deck to so can’t run through anymore.
I’ve been busy creating jewelry, taking pictures, editing picture and listing in my shop too. Taking and editing pictures is extremely time consuming and so is listing the stuff. Maybe someday I’ll make enough to hire someone to do that part for me! Some of these are listed already, but some aren’t yet. Stop by and take a peak if you’d like 🙂
These aren’t listed but are a variation of the Blue Topaz Butterflies. I think I like these ones better and may switch the ones in my shop to these. They’re available in other colors too!
The Purple Lotus Butter Earrings were in part inspired by the Helen’s Garden Bracelet, but also from World of Warcraft! Yes, I admit, I play WoW. Not very often anymore, but I do hop on here and there when I have time. The purple and green remind me of the Night Elves and their love of nature.
And as if that isn’t enough, I did a little bit of cleaning, a few loads of laundry and some dishes. There’s still more that needs done, but dangit I’m pooped!
